I started to want to paint animals more realistically, but found it hard to feel comfortable bringing in a new style. One day I saw this beautiful, Great Gray Owl drawn by an anonymous artist. Bright sparks and YES and little happy fireworks lit me up from the inside … this was quickly followed by the challenges of learning how I wanted to paint more realistic animals. But I wrote this sentence that day “the universe has given me a clue, I must be brave” and I thank the artist and the drawing of the Great Gray Owl for helping me a take those first steps towards a change in my art. There are so many things we want to create, head towards, bring into our lives. There are many things we want to change in the world. Be it a person or a song or a story, be it anything or anyone that shows up in your life and gives you energy to head towards those inspirations - it’s good to remember to be brave and go forth! • Lucky Sea Turtle Cup • Size: XLarge (16 fl. oz.) • Ceramic • Measures diameter 3 1/4” height 4 1/4” • Art on all sides. • Comfortable to hold with a unique thumb divot.
