Banjo Recital
Description
I love most everything about this portrait, but especially the look of admiration on the little bunny's face. So enamored with this strong and charming woman, and no doubt her beautiful voice.

From the Artist
She says about this portrait;
“I created this image after I got a bee in my bonnet about the notion of a girl playing the banjo in the middle of the woods. A stag, bear, fox, rabbit, squirrel and owl are gathered 'round to hear her song.
The whole time I was working on this painting, I kept thinking she was singing/playing them the Burl Ives song Buckeye Jim. I feel almost certain that's what she's playing, there among the animals and the lily-of-the-valley.”
