I’ve got nothing against a Rocky Mountain Man, but my heart lies with the Sawtooth kind. We all have one in our life, don’t we? Whether a partner, brother, father or friend, he loves to ski, fish, hike, bike and camp. Preferring to do most of these activities with family and friends, he also enjoys time alone in his North Woods. The Sawtooth Mountain Man is a keeper. He is also extremely difficult to shop for. Probably because he genuinely would prefer time in BWCA to a tangible gift. That’s WONDERFUL! Especially since I think I speak for all my Sawtooth Mountain Ladies out there when I say we would prefer the same! So, here is my suggestion for all y’all, plan a surprise trip up North for your Sawtooth Mountain Man &/or Lady, and add small gifts from the suggestions below to complete your epic present! An unexpected bonus of these gifts is that they are NOT gender specific, so all will benefit from the beauty and fun they provide. Enjoy!

Last but certainly not least, is the Sawtooth Mountain Man who enjoys spending time in the woods. Whether it’s a week long BWCA camping trip or a weekend spent at a cozy cabin up the Gunflint Trail, our deep woods enthusiasts love to spend time up in the middle of nowhere with only the people they love. The following are some gift ideas to bring the “north woods cabin” feel to your home all year long.
There are some pieces of winter that I just can not live without. Don't you just feel so sad for folks who have never experienced a winter cabin vacation?

What could be better than sitting by the fire, listening to the fire crackle, drinking some delicious beer and playing cribbage with a loved one? Not much in my book.
Well, maybe the Northern Lights.... if we add the Northern Lights to the evening then it can not possibly be beat!
If you DO decide to gift a trip up north, be sure to consider coming up the first week in June! That is when we will be hosting our GRAND OPENING of The Big Lake :-) Hope to see you there.
Thanks for reading!
