Awaiting the spring and summer on the North Shore can turn anyone nutty.... but with a 16 month old toddler and two rambunctious cattle dogs running around the house, I must admit that I am in deep yearning for the weather to warm up and the snow to melt. I find myself daydreaming of the moment my little peanut and pups can run, run, run wild in the woods around our home.
My husband Sam, on the other hand, loves all weather... every single season. You won't find him wasting time yearning for the next season. Sam's sights are set on today! His response to my pinning for spring is "This is perfect sledding weather" and "Conditions are perfect for a quick snow bike ride!" I'm glad to have his love for the seasons around me, because I know deep down, I do still enjoy the winter this time of year.
*I love this print by Teagan White of St. Paul, MN. She captures the calm affect an afternoon in the sunlit forest has on my daughter Freja. An incredible affect, as she is most often running around at full speed and tip top energy!
How about you? How are you feeling on this icy and cold March afternoon? Are you eagerly awaiting the spring, enjoying your last weeks of winter sports or perhaps looking forward an upcoming trip to a warmer climate (if the latter, I hate you right now). Let us know what you're up to and how you plan to spend these last few weeks of winter.
